Chronic Neck Pain Adjustment, Therapy + Treatment in Cambridge, Ontario

Let’s talk about neck pain. When you’re experiencing neck pain, the discomfort and distraction you feel is rarely isolated to the neck itself. It can come with headaches, tension, poor sleep, and even more broadly, an overall sense of physical hesitation - you’re never sure whether even the simplest movement or shift of the body will trigger or worsen your pain.

When clients come to Mitchell Chiropractic in Cambridge, Ontario in search of neck pain therapy, their experience typically falls into one of two camps. The first is short-term neck pain brought on by a singular accident or injury. The second is long-term, chronic neck pain that has been dogging them for weeks, if not months.

These may seem very different, but in reality, both experiences of neck pain have a lot in common. Both reflect an interference with the nervous system that is detracting from health and manifesting in pain. Both require adjustments to help realign the spine and allow communication to flow. Both can be soothed when we remove the interferences and let the body heal itself, restoring balance and optimal health to our systems, holistically.

Mitchell Chiropractic has been providing neck pain treatment in the Cambridge area for over 30 years.

In that time, we have worked with more clients than we can count to provide relief and help them return to wholeness. Some clients come to us immediately after the onset of their pain, and for others, the journey to chiropractic takes longer - and that’s okay, too. Health is personal, but so is healing.

That’s why our treatment process starts with consultation and examination before we ever get to adjustments and treatment. These first two steps are critical to help our team really understand the nuances of what you are experiencing, how it affects your life, and precisely what is going on in your body. Precise is key here—your spine and your nervous system are incredibly complex, so it’s important that we take the time to examine very closely to identify the nuances of what is (and is not) working. This includes analysis and testing of your posture, muscle strength and reflexes. We use x-ray, thermal scans, and a hands-on assessment of your spine to complete the picture.

Taken together, these provide a fuller story of not only your neck pain, but how it relates to the rest of your body. This understanding is critical. In the case of chronic neck pain, it’s entirely possible that the problem originated in a completely different place, and your body has compensated and compensated and compensated, manifesting in neck pain that is only one part of the problem. Conversely, if your pain is new, due to a recent accident or injury, not addressing the root cause could lead to more interference and discomfort down the road.

Our neck pain treatment involves your entire body—helping get the spine back into alignment so the body can heal itself and return you to wholeness.

Contact us today to get started with a consultation at our office here in Cambridge. We look forward to helping you on your journey.1101
